Welcome to our happy place!
Create & Escape started out as a “Girl’s Night Out” with our friends to enjoy some wine, have some laughs & to make creative crafts each month.
Before our little business was even a twinkle in our eye we loved scoping out the latest crafty trends and attended workshops as guests each month.
We did this for years then one day after a less-than-stellar experience we thought, "We could do it better".
Our love of crafting sparked a business idea to fill a void we found in the DIY/Maker industry. What we found was missing was always walking away from a DIY/Maker experience with a project you loved & you were excited to hang up on your wall or proud to give as a gift!
We want to give our guests a fun, stress-free & creative experience with our easy step by step instructions, high quality materials and fun creative projects for your home & family! We believe in providing you with outstanding customer experience that keeps you coming back to C&E!
We are so confident that you will love your project that we guarantee it! If you aren't happy with your project then you can come back and create for free.
We give you the Pinterest-creative fun without the risk of a Pinterest-fail!
Our workshop offerings are constantly changing with the trends and the seasons, so there is always a reason to get crafty with us!
Whether it's an Open Workshop, Private Event, Fundraiser, Birthday Party or Team Building we find there is always a reason to Create & Escape!

We had our 7 yo girl's birthday party at Create & Escape. She invited 5 of her friends. It was a blast! The girls made wood signs and enjoyed being with each other. For me, the best part was knowing everyone was safe. C&E was the only place that had all their COVID precautions in the front page of their website. We all had masks. There was constant wand washing and disinfecting. They even closed the place for us! I was able to bring my own (individually wrapped) food and cake. It was a great time! One of the girls even said it was one of the best parties she had ever been! Highly recommend.

I worked with Wendy on a Virtual Paint Night for an event at work were I was hosting some local professionals via zoom. Well, let me tell you, the event tonight was awesome! Wendy was easy to work with, had our kits organized perfectly and she was very engaging with my group! I would highly recommend Wendy and her team!!

I’ve been meaning to post this review for a while... I visited Salem/Peabody in October with my husband. After eating dinner at a delicious Mexican restaurant we were walking back to our vehicle when I stopped dead in my tracks in from of this amazing place! I walked inside and I was greeted by the friendliest people I’ve ever met (I’m from REAL SOUTH LOUISIANA, so hospitality is something I should be accustomed to... only... I’m not. Not like this!) We spent what felt like an hour talking and sharing creative ideas and stories. (I’m a small business owner back in my hometown) I can’t stop myself from telling everyone about all the wonderful people I met while visiting and I especially love telling about this amazing shop I stumbled upon. I will definitely be placing orders and visiting again the next time I find myself in Massachusetts! Thank y’all for being so kind. I look forward to seeing your new posts everyday!

When the COVID-19 restrictions began to lift I couldn’t wait to hear what Create & Escape would open and how they would make it safe.When I inquired about a private event, Wendy was great! She told me there would be a limit to how many people, we could be at separate tables to maintain social distancing and that they had sanitizers at the tables for us to stay safe. We had a great time and can’t wait to do another event! Thank you Create and Escape for allowing us to be social again but maintain safety!

Such a great experience Wendy and her staff were so accommodating to our group. We had plans at another site and they cancelled due to not having enough interest and would not accommodate use. Wendy jumped right and everyone had a great time. Thank you PVMHS HOCKEY CHEER

We just hosted a company event with Create and Escape and they were great! They traveled to us and accommodated a group of about 50 people at an event venue. Wendy and her team were very professional, helpful and fun. She ensured everyone had a great evening. Would recommend!

This shop is literally what Pinterest would be if it came to life! I went here as a fun thing to do with my bridal party and we had such an amazing time! We all got to make custom signs and the process was so fun and easy. Will definitely be coming back to craft some more!

Just went for the first time tonight with my mom and sister. We had such a fun night. Wendy was so helpful. Our night didn’t feel rushed and everything was explained just right! We are already talking about the next time we can go and what we can make! It made celebrating Mother’s Day extra special as we now have something to remember it by. We would highly recommend getting a group together and enjoying a night out at Create & Escape DIY!

I took a group of tweens here tonight to make bath bombs and sugar scrubs. Wendy was amazing w the girls. They were so creative with scents, textures, colors etc. She was so organized & had so much patience. She ordered pizzas & went out of her way to ask the girls what kind of pizza toppings the girls liked. I left the kids with her for a bit and went to have dinner with my hubby. It was such a fun experience for all the girls and they took so many goodies home. I can’t wait to go back with my friends and make something of my own. Thanks again.

My daughter Ally and myself went today 9/22 and did s a beautiful plaque that says Happy Harvest with a great old truck filled with lots of pumpkins , Debbie and her family were all wonderful to work with they help out if you need anything and suggested colors if we were unsure. I definitely would recommend to anyone to go and have a great time. Great for birthday party’s, baby shower’s , bridal party or anyone that just wants to have fun Thanks again for a wonderful day!!!

Such a fun night making my sea glass creation! I have no artistic ability, but Wendy and Debbie made it easy with their guidance, stencils, and abundance of materials to select from. Now I have so many ideas in my head, I can't wait to do another, or two, or three!
